OUR STORY

What started as a fun hobby turned into a search to create clean, healthy skincare products for my own little family. Having extremely sensitive skin myself along with experiencing years of chronic acne and dermatitis, I was constantly researching ingredients that would nourish and heal skin. After seeing the response from giving gifts and seeing the number of people searching for similar items, Ruby Rain Organics the business was born in May 2014.

All of my ingredients are sourced within the Pacific Northwest when possible. Instead of buying organic olive oil imported from Italy, I order it from an Oregon wholesaler who gets it from an organic olive farm in Napa Valley, CA. Some oils aren't available here in the US; for example, argan oil only comes from trees that grow in Morocco. So I order items like that from companies like Mountain Rose Herbs in Eugene who are dedicated to fair trade. Even the containers we use are from a company in Seattle. The herbs that I use to infuse oils are from a company in Portland. Every purchase from Ruby Rain Organics supports business in the Pacific Northwest.

My products do not contain any synthetic ingredients. I also make items in small batches to ensure freshness & potency of the essential oils. Certain essential oils are not only used for their medicinal properties, but are also used for their preservative abilities--lavender and some citrus oils are natural, effective anti-bacterials and antifungals.

Essential oils are powerful and wonderful. From the invigorating peppermint face scrub in the morning to the relaxing lavender bath soak at night, essential oils enliven the senses. I use the highest quality oils I can find. From the healing properties of frankincense to the "happy" scent of sweet orange, essential oils have many different uses and abilities. Essential oils are an important part of my products.

Please let me know if you have any questions or recommendations for a product. All my products use the highest quality ingredients I can find and are safe for the whole family...even babies!
